AgraMarke was an outgrowth of the Everest Alliance, L.L.C. In 1997, Everest, Kansas, was in danger of losing its elevator. Twenty-one producers, landowners, and agriculture-related businesspersons formed the Everest Alliance, LLC. Its objectives were rural community development and expanded agricultural markets. Purchasing the local elevator helped stabilize the economy of the community. Having local ownership of the elevator, Everest Alliance’s membership wanted an organization to concentrate on global opportunities; so they formed AgraMarke on May 26, 1998 as an umbrella organization to provide opportunities for members beyond the local area.

On November 2, 2000, AgraMarke, Inc. provided the catalyst to form Lifeline Foods, LLC, a Missouri limited liability company. In addition, AgraMarke Quality Grains, Inc., a Missouri, non-stock cooperative was organized on January 2, 2001 to add value to producers’ commodities through ownership of Lifeline.

Since Lifeline’s start-up, its manufacturing focus has been to process and package identity preserved grain into finished and industrial food ingredients for both domestic and international customers. Producer members of AgraMarke Quality Grains, Inc. supply Lifeline with this identity-preserved grain. Lifeline is currently expanding into ethanol production, which will be managed in concert with their food division. Additional information about Lifeline Foods, LLC is available at
